Playing in the Final

In 1981, Qatar's youth team played in the FIFA U-20 Football World Cup, making it to the final.

The national team missed out on winning the Cup in 1981, beaten by West Germany. However, the team impressively pipped Brazil and England to the final game. They beat Brazil in the quarter-finals with a score of 3-2, and they defeated England 2-1.
