The three CONCACAF slots for the 2022 World Cup have been filled - Mexico, the USA, and Canada will join twenty-nine other nations in Qatar this winter.

After the third day of the January break, only five teams remain in contention for FIFA 2022 World Cup Qualification and only three matchdays remain.

On the second matchday of the January break, Canada steams ahead of rivals, the USA and Mexico, in the CONCACAF 2022 qualifiers race.

After losing to the USA in the semi-finals, Qatar’s run at the Gold Cup tournament has ended. However, the Qatari squad are heading home winners despite the loss.

Qatar’s Al Annabi Boys held off El Salvador in a thrilling quarter-final match to win their place at the 2021 Gold Cup semi-finals in America.

With a win over Honduras and sitting top of their group, Qatar now advances to the next stage of the 2021 Gold Cup alongside CONCACAF giants Mexico and the USA.

After a draw with Panama, Qatar upped their game against Grenada, opening the scoring less than ten minutes in and asserting their dominance throughout.

At their first 2021 Gold Cup tournament outing, Qatar confidently stood up to the test against their Panamanian opponents.

Invited to join the CONCACAF Gold Cup tournament, Qatar is currently in training before they head to the USA for their debut at the 2021 event.
