Qatar Ranking on the Global Peace Index

Qatar ranks 'very high' on the Global Peace Index (GPI), making it one of the most peaceful countries in the world.

The GPI measures world-wide peacefulness. Ranking 172 independent states and territories, it covers 99.7% of the world's population. The index monitors nations and regions for conflict (internal and external), relationships with neighbouring nations and regions, crime, terrorism, displacement, political stability, military position, etc.

Qatar has been ranked in the Top 45 of the GPI for the last 10 years.
