· Printed on Money
The head of the Peregrine falcon is used as a watermark for Qatari currency.
The image of a falcons head is also printed on QAR 500 notes. The age-old tradition of falconry is still a source of prestige for many Qataris. The use of the falcon watermark and its imagery on the country's highest denomination note is seen by many as a recognition of the bird's importance and cultural significance.
