In 2017, Qatar held the record for the world's longest non-stop commercial passenger flight.
On the 6th February 2017, Qatar Airways launched the world's longest non-stop commercial flight from Doha to Auckland in New Zealand. The mamouth distance of 9,032 miles (14,535km) was covered in a mere 16 hours and 23 minutes.
The record set by Qatar Airways has only been topped since by Singapore Airlines. In October 2018, Singapore Airlines flew a lengthy 9,534 miles (15,344km) from Singapore to Newark in New Jersey.
