Qatar is no stranger to hosting international sporting events. From football to wrestling to gymnastics, Qatar's stadiums have played host to some of the biggest regional, continental (Asian), and worldwide events.


Qatar has hosted a variety of major football events since the 1970s:

  • Arab Club Champions Cup (1993), Arab Nations Cup (1998), Arab Cup U-20 (2015)
